Don't Vote

We are all too uninformed and stupid to vote. So don't!

1 comment? That's all I get? Ok I am too stupid and uninformed. I moved and never changed my address. The only way I could vote today is if I would have moved within the county or township. Since I didn't I needed to re-register last week and possibly even yesterday, but since I didn't now Kerry will win by 5,999 votes instead of 6,000 here in Michigan. Assuming of coarse it is a REAL CLOSE election. I actually think Kerry is going to win. Mike and Mel's vote will mean more than any of our friends since they are in Ohio and that state is going to make a huge difference. Michigan is Kerry all the way. We have the 2nd highest african american concentrated city in the country, the highest Arabic concentrated county, and from what I hear, both those groups like Kerry a whole lot more than Bush.

Ok. Mike is right. I have a cold and have felt like poo poo all day, but I am feeling better now, I think I will drive out to commerce and try anyway. I am registered to vote there and my address has not changed on my license. So maybe they just won't notice. I have the time, I should at least try, otherwise I have to deal with all the people who are all "vote or die". And I don't want Puffy on my ass!

Scott,
Because you actually sounded remorseful, I will give you this suggestion:

As soon as you and Lori figure out where you are moving, get your ass registered. Your vote will count more in the next four years than ever before because we MUST send a message to our representatives (local, state, and federal) and our president. Voting is more than presidential campaigns: it determines the funding for our schools and social programs, our environment, our CIVIL RIGHTS.

Hell hath no fury like a dirt-worshipping tree-hugger scorned.

Now thats more like it. Earlier in these comments I mentioned my disgust with only one comment, but now, you have all made me happy. Scott I didn't vote either, but I have every other time I could. I did kinda try after Mike made me feel guilty. The fact I was sick didn't help. But It's kinda like leaving the water on when you brush your teeth. It's bad for the enviroment, but that one time just from me isn't hurting anything is it? And if the country got together and every four years didn't use too much water while brushing all on one day, there would still be the argument that, "well, nobody is using water today, so if I do, what difference will it make?" I can't get that argument out of my head. And the counter usually is "What if everyone thought that way?" But everyone never will, and I'm not actively trying to convert people to using all the water they want during brushing. Just me. And yes I do leave the water on while I brush. And I'm sorry that was such a horrible comparison, but it started as a joke and kept going and I'm not one to go back and edit a comment.
